Cairn Valley
This carbon negative house incorporates rainwater harvesting and purification, an air source heat pump, wind turbine, and solar thermal panels. Locally sourced materials will include wool sheared from sheep on the surrounding farm and reclaimed timber. A copse of trees and outcrop of rocks will frame the view of the building, while existing dry-stone walls will extend to its interior.
